IRRATIONAL VERSUS RATIONAL!
I believe that the election victory by Hamas has as its root cause the same circumstance that precipitated the victory of Conservatives in Canada.
It is a reaction to the rising tide of Conservatism in the world, a consequence of the fear and insecurity precipitated by the intellectual and philosophical inability to deal with problems as apparently disparate as terrorism and global warming.
Motivated by this fear and insecurity humanity is opting for traditional methods.
The approach of the Bush Administration clearly emphasizes and reinforces this trend.
I believe that the actions of the Bush Administration elected the hardliner in Iran, and has now elevated the blatantly terrorist organization Hamas into the Government of Palestine.
Irrationality is feeding and breeding irrationality all over the world.
It is time for humans beings to consider more rational solutions to problems, to emphasize logic and reason rather than interests and emotions in formulating solutions to problems.
It is time for human beings to become seized with the realization that morality is the bridge between fact and function.
